Nutrition, Health, and Obesity Prevention

Diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer, are the leading causes of death and disability in the United States. If you are physically active and eat nutritious foods you can reduce your risks of developing these diseases. The need for active living and healthy eating was never more important than it is today, because overweight and obesity have reached epidemic proportions in this country. According to health experts, one third of our children are either obese or are at risk of becoming obese.
