Family Development Training and Credentialing
A major NY State interagency initiative that provides front line workers with the skills and competencies that they need to support individuals and families to attain a healthy self-reliance and independence with their communities.


ESNY Logo

Eat Smart New York
Eat Smart New York (ESNY) is our nutrition education program for Livingston County families who are receiving or applying for food stamps, WIC, and Medicaid - as well as families with children in Head Start. ESNY is free and offered as a series of lessons. Families will learn how to save money on food, cook tasty and nutritious meals, stay in shape, and much more. Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Education
We collaborate with many community agencies to develop and deliver programs that help Livingston County residents of all ages make healthy lifestyle choices. Our focus is on helping youth and families establish healthy eating and active living behaviors and raising awareness of the health risks associated with poor eating habits. Food Safety and Home Food Preservation
Our nutrition educators provide information on food safety. Find resources on our website to help you prepare, store, and preserve food safely. Contact one of our Educators at 585-658-3250.


Parenting Programs
We can run a class for your group or set up one-on-one sessions for any of the following programs: Active Parenting 1-2-3-4, Active Parenting Now 5-12, Active Parenting of Teens, Age Appropriate Play (birth to 3 years), Positive Discipline Without: Shaking, Shouting, or Spanking and Stregthening Families (10-14). School-Age Child Care Credential
An intense 90-hour training that looks at the School-Age Competencies and NYS regulations to help programs to become "quality programs." This preparation class can lead to acquiring a professional credential in School-Age Child Care. Please contact Donna Horton at 585-658-3250 for more information.
